These kinds of stories on the day after Thanksgiving aren’t new:
We don’t like seeing stories like this. It’s crazy to go overboard about a discounted flatscreen tv, right? I’ll go even farther to say I’m sure many in Government don’t like seeing this stuff either.
But, here’s the truth: Government wish people were as crazy for what it provides.
I’m positive there are many at the Federal Government level who wish people were so desirous of entitlements that they were willing to fight over them. Can you see it? Fights in lines at the Social Security offices. Fights in line at Immigration Centers. Fights in lines for Obamacare coverage.
What we know about Government these days, how can we think any differently?
In my Govicide novels, this exact thing happens. People fighting over what the One World Government provides. People wishing others would die so the living ones can get more. People getting to the point where they don’t have children because they see them as stealing from adults.
As bad as this kind of Black Friday behavior is, I hope it remains in the private sector. If it starts happening in the entitlement sector, we’re finished.
